Estelle Getty, Sophia from THE GOLDEN GIRLS, Dies at Age 84

In this Aug. 28, 1998 file photo, actress Estelle Getty displays the Emmy she won at the 40th Annual Primetime Emmy Awards in Pasadena, Calif. Getty won best supporting actress in a comedy series for her role in "The Golden Girls." Getty has died at the age of 84. Her son, Carl Gettleman, says she died early Tuesday at home in Los Angeles. She suffered from advanced dementia and will be sorely missed ! Betty White was thankful that even though Estelle was gone, they'd always have Sophia! Bea Arthur also said :"Our mother-daughter relationship was one of the greatest comic duos ever, and I will miss her!"

Batman Arrested!! Christian Bale charged with Asssault!!

The Dark Knight himself, Christian Bale was arrested for assault in London today, after allegedly lashing out at his mother and sister Sunday night before Monday's British Dark Knight premiere. Following the scene at Park Lane's Dorchester Hotel where Christian was staying, his mother and sister brought the accusations to the Hampshire police station who referred it to the London police. The police held off on arresting him until today and he was in custody for awhile. Christian was released from custody and was ordered to return to deal with the incident in September.
